The University of Georgia's moot court team, composed of third-year students Mona E. Abboud, Taylor L. Stablein, and Casey E. Wofford, reached the semifinals at the National Moot Court Competition held in New York City. The team was among the top four teams nationwide and received recognition for having the second-best brief score out of 32 participating teams.

Abboud, Stablein, and Wofford previously went undefeated in their regional competition in Atlanta last November to qualify for the national level of this prestigious event.

The National Moot Court Competition is co-sponsored by the American College of Trial Lawyers and the New York City Bar Association. It sees participation from more than 150 accredited law schools each year, involving over 1,000 students.
