For the third year in a row, the University of Georgia School of Law has taken part in a pop-up legal clinic in Troup County, providing free civil legal advice and referrals to local residents. This year's event was co-hosted by the law school, the Troup County Law Library, and the Georgia Legal Services Program. More than 20 individuals received assistance during the clinic.

Third-year law students Supreme Unukegwo and Gordon C. Wayne contributed to the event under supervision from several faculty members: Elizabeth M. Grant, director of the Civil Externship Program and Public Interest Practicum; Emma M. Hetherington, director of the Wilbanks Child Endangerment and Sexual Exploitation Clinic; Alexander W. “Alex” Scherr, director of the Veterans Legal Clinic; and Ethan Smith, staff attorney at the Veterans Legal Clinic.

The law school's involvement in this annual clinic is made possible through support from a Callaway Foundation grant.
