Atlanta's John Marshall Law School has announced that three of its students have been recognized as 2025 scholarship recipients by the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers (GAWL) Foundation. The scholarships acknowledge the students' dedication and potential in the legal profession.
Alisha McCrimmon was awarded the 2025 Luisa Alejos Scholarship. As the President of the GAWL student chapter and Social Media Coordinator for the Criminal Law Society, she has shown significant initiative. Alisha, who plans to pursue personal injury or criminal law, expressed her commitment to justice, stating, “I want to be that person for someone in need.” The scholarship is awarded to future attorneys who exhibit outstanding promise in leadership and service.
Elissa Codrea is the recipient of the 2025 Jennifer Gore Scholarship. Her academic excellence and focus on healthcare law advocacy earned her this honor. With a background in stabilizing medical charges and experience on her law journal, Elissa plans to pursue a career in personal injury law. She stated her mission as, “To help those who cannot help themselves and be a voice for those who cannot speak.” The scholarship supports law students poised to make meaningful contributions in their fields.
Ariana Azaripour received the 2025 Bethany Schneider Scholarship for her focus on data privacy and cybersecurity law. Ariana aims to influence the future of technology policy, reflecting her forward-thinking approach. She remarked, “I want to shape conversations and influence the future of the industry by providing policy guidance.”
