The University of Georgia School of Law has advanced to the national level in the National Trial Competition (NTC) after a successful performance by its team. Third-year student M. Drake Jones and second-year student Dresden L. Day secured victory in Region VI, earning them the opportunity to compete at the national competition scheduled for April.
Jones and Day's win marks the fourth consecutive year that UGA has claimed this regional title. The team received guidance from coaches Jeremy Dailey, who graduated with a J.D. in 2014, and Haley Kairab and Cole Harper, both of whom earned their J.D.s in 2022.
The NTC is organized by the Texas Young Lawyers Association and draws participation from over 150 law schools nationwide, involving more than 1,000 law students annually.
