The University of Georgia School of Law recently participated in a legal pop-up clinic in Troup County, marking the second year of its involvement. The event provided free civil legal advice and referrals to local residents.

The clinic, held in late October, was co-hosted by the School of Law, Troup County courts, and the Georgia Legal Services Program. It assisted more than 40 individuals seeking consultation, doubling the number served at last year's clinic.

Alexander W. “Alex” Scherr, Director of the Veterans Legal Clinic, joined third-year student Cameron F. Goodman and second-year student Supreme Unukegwo from the Public Interest Practicum in participating in this community service initiative.

The law school's involvement was supported by a grant from the Callaway Foundation.
