The University of Georgia School of Law has expanded its clinical program by adding five new attorneys in 2024. This move aligns with the school's ongoing efforts to enhance legal education for students and provide legal services to underserved communities.

Ethan Smith joins as a staff attorney in the Veterans Legal Clinic. He earned his J.D. from Georgia State University in 2018 and previously served in the Judge Advocate General Corps for the U.S. Navy.

Thomas Evans, a 2022 graduate of UGA Law, has been appointed as the inaugural post-graduate legal fellow in the Community Health Law Partnership Clinic. Evans brings experience from his previous role as a staff attorney with the 11th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals.

The First Amendment Clinic welcomes two new legal fellows: Christina Lee, a 2021 graduate of Cornell Law School and former associate at Cahill Gordon & Reindel in New York City, and Urub Khawaja, who graduated from the University of Texas School of Law in 2024.

Trey Barnett is now part of the Wilbanks Child Endangerment and Sexual Exploitation Clinic team as a legal fellow. He was an assistant public defender at the DeKalb County Public Defender's Office after graduating from Georgia State University College of Law in 2021.
