On August 1, 2024, the Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School (AJMLS) Alumni Association welcomed its new Board of Director Officers and incoming members. The Officers will serve in their roles for the 2024-2025 year.
The newly appointed officers are Wes Jordan, Class of 1997 as President; Shilpa Jadwani, Class of 2012 as Vice-President; Kayla Kudratt, Class of 2018 as Secretary; and Zaira Solano, Class of 2011 as Treasurer.
Sarah P. Cornejo from the Class of 2016 shared her background: "I was born and raised in Georgia," she said. Cornejo completed her education at Kennesaw State University and currently works at Sarah Cornejo Law as the founder, owner, and managing partner specializing in personal injury law and criminal defense. She expressed her motivation for joining the board: "I joined the board in order to help promote AJMLS and strengthen the network of support for Alumni on both a professional and personal level."
Edward J. Hardrick from the Class of 2022 was raised in Alabama and Georgia. He completed his education at the University of North Georgia and now works as a litigation attorney at Morgan & Morgan, P.A., specializing in trucking accidents. Hardrick stated his reasons for joining the board: "Serving on the Alumni Board will allow me to further support the school and organizations I enjoyed being in as a student."
Kareemah Lewis from the Class of 2012 was raised in Asheville, NC. She completed her education at UNC Chapel Hill and is currently a Senior Associate In-House Attorney at MARTA. Lewis explained her decision to join the board: "I joined the AJMLS Alumni board in order to reciprocate the many opportunities and benefits that I received as an AJMLS student and graduate."
Michael Murphy from the Class of 2011 was raised in Marietta, GA. He attended the University of Alabama and is now a partner at Farnsworth & Murphy LLC specializing in criminal defense. Murphy shared his enthusiasm for joining: "I am joining the alumni board because I think it’s a great opportunity to reconnect with the school."
Luis Raul Scott Jr., also from the Class of 2011, has roots in Indiana, Puerto Rico, and Georgia. He completed his education at the University of West Georgia and is now an owner at 8 Figure Firm Consulting after years practicing law in personal injury/workers compensation space. Scott noted his reasons for joining: "I have had the desire for a while to give to communities that have given to me... I am looking forward to helping continue to promote AJMLS."
The new members bring diverse experiences ranging from personal injury law to criminal defense, highlighting their commitment to supporting both current students and fellow alumni.
