AJMLS Law Journal announces new editorial board members for Volume XVIII

The 2023-2024 Law Journal Editorial Board and its Faculty Advisor, Professor Van Detta, have announced the election of seven new members to the Editorial Board for 2024-2025.

Suzanne Fulcher Oldweiler has been appointed Editor-in-Chief. A 3L student in the full-time J.D. program, Oldweiler has made the Dean’s List and received several awards including the CALI Award for Criminal Law. She has also been active in various legal societies and programs. Reflecting on her new role, Oldweiler stated she is inspired to work with the Vol. 18 Editorial Board to "foster intellectual curiosity and highlight the thought leadership and legal talent within the AJMLS community."

Gloria Garcia will serve as Executive Managing Editor. A full-time 3L student from Bethlehem, Georgia, Garcia holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Georgia. During her time at AJMLS, she has served as a Peer Mentor and Academic Chair for CHALLSA and was named to the Dean’s List.

Anthony Zahn has been named Co-Executive Legislative & Recent Case Summaries Editor. Zahn graduated Summa Cum Laude from Georgia Gwinnett College with a major in Criminal Justice and a minor in Sociology. He has received multiple CALI Excellence for the Future Awards and is actively involved as a Peer Mentor.

Morgan Knowles will also serve as Co-Executive Legislative & Recent Case Summaries Editor. Born in McDonough, Georgia, Knowles graduated cum laude from Kennesaw State University with a degree in Psychology. She has worked as a paralegal before attending law school.

Elissa Codrea takes on the role of Symposium Editor. A full-time 3L student at John Marshall, Codrea earned several CALI Excellence for the Future Awards during her studies. Prior to law school, she managed lien-based medical care for third-party liability cases at MedFinManager.

Hailey Tegeder will be Internet and Online Presence Editor. Tegeder graduated magna cum laude from Kennesaw State University with a B.S. in Political Science and was co-captain of KSU’s Mock Trial Team.

Jesse Moore becomes Executive Research Editor while pursuing his part-time J.D., having previously earned numerous CALI Awards across various subjects including Criminal Procedure and Constitutional Law.

Professor Jeffrey A. Van Detta continues his role as Faculty Advisor guiding these newly elected members who aim to advance scholarly research and publication excellence within the Law Journal.
