UGA finishes as national finalists in Shark Beach Showdown Mock Trial Competition

Congratulations to the team of UGA students who achieved the remarkable feat of finishing as national finalists in the inaugural Shark Beach Showdown Mock Trial Competition. The team, comprised of third-year students Shepherd Bridges, Delaney Davis, Jessica L. Davis, Ericka L. Love, and second-year student Wesley E. Tillman, showcased their exceptional skills throughout the competition.

Davis, one of the team members, received special recognition for delivering the "best opening statement" during the four preliminary rounds, highlighting the team's talent and dedication to their craft. The students' hard work and commitment led them to an undefeated record heading into the finals, solidifying their position as top contenders in the competition.

Coaching the UGA team were School of Law graduates Jonathan (J.D.'16) and Whitney (J.D.'15) Stuart, who provided guidance and support to the students as they navigated the challenges of the mock trial competition.
