Gavin King has been named the recipient of the 2025 Chad Stewart Award by Beasley Allen, a recognition established in memory of former firm lawyer Chad Stewart. Stewart died in 2014 at age 41, and the award is presented annually to a lawyer who best represents his dedication to faith, family, and the legal profession.
King has served as an attorney at Beasley Allen and is recognized by colleagues for his commitment to client service, leadership within the firm, and mentoring other attorneys. The firm highlighted that King’s work aligns with its mission of supporting those in need and upholding justice.
In addition to his role at Beasley Allen, King has participated in various professional organizations. He holds memberships in the Alabama State Bar, State Bar of Georgia, and North Carolina State Bar. He serves on the Executive Committee of the Alabama State Bar Young Lawyers’ Section and sits on the Board of Directors for the Montgomery County Bar Association. King also represents the Middle District for the Alabama Lawyers’ Association and participates in programs such as Emerging Leaders within the Alabama Association for Justice.
King’s recent honors include selection to National Black Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 since 2022, annual recognition as a Midsouth Super Lawyers “Rising Star” since 2022, and inclusion in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America for environmental and product liability law beginning in 2025.
The Chad Stewart Award aims to highlight values central to Beasley Allen—faith, family, and service. According to Beasley Allen’s announcement: “The award celebrates Chad Stewart’s devotion to God, his family, and the legal profession.
