The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia has announced that it is lifting the stay on civil litigation involving the United States and its agencies. This change comes as a result of appropriations being restored.

According to Administrative Order 25-03, the stay is lifted for cases where the United States, its federal agencies, or its officers and employees are named parties. The order also applies to cases in which the United States attorney for the Northern District of Georgia, any assistant United States attorney, or any special assistant United States attorney serves as counsel of record. The policy covers matters pending before magistrate judges as well.

This development means that previously paused civil litigation involving these parties will now proceed in court.
