The Wilbanks Child Endangerment and Sexual Exploitation (CEASE) Clinic has secured a verdict of approximately $4.3 million for a survivor in Carroll County Superior Court. The case was handled by third-year law students Hannah M. Peters and Ellis H.P. Schmitt, who represented the client at trial under the supervision of Staff Attorney Brian Atkinson, with support from Clinic Director Emma M. Hetherington. Esther Panitch from Panitch Ivory Law Group served as cocounsel.

Devin Mashman, a graduate of the School of Law, previously represented the client during earlier proceedings before the Georgia Supreme Court while participating in the clinic.

Social Work Advocate Jocelyn Crumpton contributed to the case with assistance from social work intern J. Simone Hayes, now a first-year student at the School of Law.
