Cedrick Demon Robinson, a 42-year-old former Army soldier from Oxford, Mississippi, was sentenced to life in prison for aggravated sexual abuse of a child and attempted production of child pornography. The sentencing took place on August 12, 2025, in the Southern District of Georgia before U.S. District Court Chief Judge R. Stan Baker. In addition to the life sentence, Robinson was ordered to pay a $50,000 fine and $10,200 in special assessments.

Courtroom testimony revealed that Robinson sexually abused a minor in December 2013 by fondling the child's genitals when the victim was nine years old. Four years later, in 2017, he requested that another child send him a sexually explicit photograph when that child was fifteen.

“Protecting children from those who would abuse them and seeking justice for sexual predators remains one of our District’s highest priorities,” said U.S. Attorney Heap. “We will continue to seek justice for those who would victimize our most vulnerable citizens.”

"This conviction represents a decisive step toward justice for the victims and underscores our unwavering commitment to safeguarding the vulnerable,” said Special Agent in Charge Ryan O’Connor, Department of the Army Criminal Investigation Division at Fort Stewart. “We’re proud of the collaborative efforts with the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of Georgia, whose partnership was instrumental in securing this outcome."

The case was investigated by the Army Criminal Investigation Division at Fort Stewart and prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorneys Michael Z. Spitulnik and Darron J. Hubbard from the Southern District of Georgia.
