A doctor who operated an acupuncture practice in Doraville has been indicted on charges of sexually assaulting several patients. On April 29, 2025, Dr. Meu Keon Kim, 70, from Norcross, faced a DeKalb County Grand Jury, which indicted him on four counts of aggravated sexual battery and seven counts of sexual battery. The District Attorney's Office also lodged misdemeanor accusations against him, charging him with nine counts of sexual battery.
The preliminary investigation revealed that two female patients accused Dr. Kim of inappropriate touching during treatment sessions. Doraville Police apprehended Dr. Kim on February 11, 2025, and additional charges were made in March 2025 as more victims emerged. The indictments and accusations involve allegations connected to seven individuals. Dr. Kim is currently held in DeKalb County Jail without bond.
His arraignment on these charges is set for July 25, 2025. The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities believe other victims may exist. The District Attorney's Office encourages anyone with information or who believes they are a victim to contact their tip line at 404-371-2444.
"Doctors take an oath to act in the best interests of their patients and to do them no harm, however Dr. Kim is accused of doing the exact opposite," said District Attorney Sherry Boston. "We hope anyone who felt violated while in his care will come forward so that we can hold him accountable for his alleged actions."
