A man from Gilmer County, Georgia, has been indicted for allegedly creating child sexual abuse material using Artificial Intelligence. The suspect, Ronald Richardson, aged 48, was indicted by a Grand Jury on April 16, 2025, on 76 counts of Sexual Exploitation of Children, with the charges officially filed on April 23.

Richardson's arrest occurred on January 17, 2025, following an extensive investigation conducted by the Gilmer County Sheriff's Office, and he has been in custody since the arrest.

The Prosecuting Attorneys’ Council of Georgia requested the Office of the DeKalb County District Attorney to act as the conflict prosecutor for the case, a request they accepted in February. The arraignment is the next step for Richardson concerning the current charges in the indictment.

The ongoing investigation may lead to further charges, depending on its findings. For those seeking access to the redacted indictment, requests can be made through PeachCourt.com or the GSCCCA eCertification Portal at ecert.gsccca.org.
