District Attorney Keith Higgins | District Attorney for the Brunswick Judicial Circuit

District Attorney Keith Higgins has announced the addition of new members to the prosecutorial staff of the District Attorney’s Office for the Brunswick Judicial Circuit (BJC).

Whitney J. Fetzer Gregory has joined the BJC as the Deputy Chief Assistant District Attorney for the Glynn County office, as confirmed by DA Higgins. In her previous role at the Eastern Judicial Circuit in Savannah, Deputy Chief Gregory was in charge of the Special Victims Unit, handling cases such as adult rapes, sexual assaults, domestic violence, and murders. Her impressive legal background includes notable prosecutions, such as a First-Degree Murder case in Virginia, where the defendant was convicted and sentenced to two life sentences plus eight years.

Joining the staff of the Glynn County office, Assistant District Attorney Melanie Fenley brings her experience in prosecuting felony crimes from the Eastern Judicial Circuit in Savannah. ADA Fenley's educational background includes a Juris Doctorate from Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Indiana University.

Assistant District Attorney Sean P. O’Brien has been welcomed to the Camden County office by DA Higgins. ADA O’Brien, who previously worked as a Major Crimes Prosecutor in the Eastern Judicial Circuit in Savannah, has a diverse legal background that includes handling violent crimes such as murder, armed robbery, and aggravated assault.

Additionally, Assistant District Attorney Mark J. Blount has joined the Appling County/Jeff Davis County Office of the BJC. ADA Blount's legal qualifications include a Juris Doctorate from the Duke University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Southern New Hampshire University. ADA Blount, who is barred in Georgia, Missouri, and Tennessee, also has experience as a founding partner in his own law firm.
